Butler Whites: Best Sunday Dinner in Hull

Do you desire a delicious dinner, elegant decor and a unique dining experience? Well, Butler Whites can offer you all of this and MORE!

Located down Humber Street on Hull's vibrant Fruit Market, Butler Whites is a warehouse turned restaurant that specialises in a splendid Sunday roast. Choose between succulent beef, a tender leg of lamb and juicy porchetta, all of which will be accompanied by the BIGGEST Yorkshire pudding you have ever set your eyes on, perfectly seasoned vegetables, crisp roast potatoes and a lathering of gravy!

Having visited twice before, Mum and I were so looking forward to our Mother's Day trip and have to say that visiting on a special occasion made the experience more special too. We were welcomed on arrival with a glass of fizz and quickly shown to our table. The restaurant was busy (as was to be expected at 1pm on Mothering Sunday) but we had ample room and quite enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the place. Drinks orders were taken quickly (we opted for a bottle of wine to share) and soon after we selected our food. All of our servers were friendly and attentive despite working in such a busy environment, we felt well looked after! The roast came out of the kitchen quickly and was fantastic - everything was seasoned to perfection, the beef was tender and melted in the mouth, and the cauliflower cheese was so creamy... There's a reason it's our favourite Sunday dinner spot!

As you can see from the photos above, the dining experience is sophisticated without being intimidating. We love the little touches of the candle, the wine cooler, and water being served in a decanter. You don't get this experience in a pub and that's what makes this more than just your average roast dinner date.

We ate quickly and finished up our wine, though we were under no real pressure to do so, and then headed off to nearby cocktail bars to continue our celebrations. We will definitely be back and would recommend that if you haven't already, you get yourself booked in. You can use their website to check out the menus and make a reservation.
